I would like to extend special thanks to Noble Audio for making this coverage possible, not only do they make incredible IEMs and now Headphones, they have always been a great supporter of the Personal Audio community in general often sponsoring our coverage of these events. CanJam SoCal 2024 was not only host to the launch of a lot of exciting new products from true and trusted familiar lines but also featured the introduction of many spectacular newcomers to the US Personal Audio Market.
Viking Weave Cables
British company Viking Weave Cables were showing their line of beautiful artistic audiophile Headphone and IEM cables, as well as demonstrating their soon to be released Draupnir Headphone (TBD) whose dual driver per side design is sure to please any bass head.
Forté Ears
Another newcomer Forté Ears had a fantastic display launching their Forté Ears Macbeth Tri-Brid In-Ear Monitors ($3,999) featuring 5 Balanced Armature Drivers, 2 Bone Conduction Drivers, and 4 Electrostatic Drivers. Also available for listening was the Forté Ears Ambition IEM Cable ($3,999) custom made by ELECTECH for use with the Forté Ears Macbeth using an exclusive blend of Gold-Silver Alloy, Gold-Plated Silver, and Gold-Plated Copper.
ELETECH Cables
And talking about ELECTECH, they were right next door displaying their amazing line of premium audiophile Headphone and IEM Cables and Eartips.
Sendy Audio/SIVGA
Owning a pair of Sendy Audio Peacock Planar Magnetic Headphones ($1,499) I was pleasantly surprised to find them in attendance showing off their reasonably priced reference headphones and IEMs as well as the even more reasonably priced SIVGA line including the launch of their new SIVGA Anser Headphone ($200).
TEAC
TEAC was demonstrating their full line of impressive Personal Audio friendly products including their flagship TEAC UD-701N USB DAC/Network Player/Preamp/Headphone Amp ($4,299.99) paired up with their TEAC VRDS-701T CD Transport ($2,699)
CRYSOUND
Making their debut at CanJam SoCal was CRYSOUND, manufacturer of unique precision audio measuring gear.
VIOLECTRIC/Lake People
VIOLECTRIC were showing off their new flagship DAC/Amplifier the VIOLECTRIC DHA V590 Pro DAC/Headphone Amp/Preamp ($4,299.99) along with their budget line Lake People including the Lake People G111 Headphone Amplifier/Preamp ($719) which is comparable to the VIOLECTRIC HPA V101.
SJY Audio
Another interesting new headphone line is SJY Audio who were debuting their SJY Audio Horizon Closed Back Headphone ($1,099) and SJY Audio Horizon Open Back Headphone ($999). The Horizon Closed Back Headphone comes in a choice of 4 colors whereas the SJY Audio Horizon Open Back Headphone comes with a choice of 3 and the option for a wood grill for an extra $50.
RainStone
Next on the IEM front was RainStone who are so new their website (rainstonehifi.com) isn’t complete. They offer three models of IEMs designed specifically for gamers, the RainStone Stuka ($129), the RainStone Katyusha ($229), and the RainStone Garand ($299). Despite being named for a gun, the Garand has a much more refined and natural tone than the others, but one can see why these would enhance one’s gaming experience.
LETSHUOER
LETSHUOER was proud to display their 8th Anniversary limited edition (2024 units globally) LETSHUOER S12 2024 Edition IEM ($299) which comes complete with a little gold medallion. They were also debuting two new exciting IEMs the LETSHUOER Serenade (TBA) and the LETSHUOER Mystery (TBA) both of which were beautiful and had wonderful sound.
So that wraps up my coverage of CanJam SoCal 2024 thanks to Noble Audio for providing sponsorship.
