Headphone.Guru visits VPI-Part One The Factory

VPI is no stranger to audiophiles worldwide.  Celebrating its 40th year in business under the Weisfeld family name, VPI is the leading US company of high end American made turntables. Under  the leadership of Harry Weisfeld, the company has always been known for building high end turntables that have the highest sound quality and offer good value .

Harry Weisfeld’s designs are well known worldwide for being built to high standards and have set benchmarks for all other companies to follow. Under Mat Weisfeld’s leadership since 2012 the company has grown considerably. Mat’s role in running the company  has given Harry the time he needs to create and inspire new designs. The company remains committed to the philosophy of building  high quality turntables that offer incredible sound and high value.

The day started with the factory tour and ended at the VPI house to experience the magnificent sound of all the turntables. Part 2 cover covers the house tour where we experienced the magnificent sound of every turntable that VPI  turntables  offer.

Industry veteran Mike Bettinger VPi Electrical Engineering Director known for his creative designs was brought onboard. Mike worked on the ADS and currently helped to design the Player turntable.

Mike tests all the products to make sure they maintain integrity and are built to the highest standards.

The new VPI  Player  chassis in the factory getting ready for final assembly. The new base has a fresh look and is very attractive.

The Reference line starts at the $10,000 VPI Avenger and ends with the Avenger Reference priced at $20,000.
