Welcome back to my coverage of CanJam SoCal 2026.

adastracoustic

CanJam SoCal 2026 was replete with Asian IEM and other Personal Audio product manufacturers, and one of the standouts, new to me, was adastracoustic, who had a table full of interesting offerings, but pointed me to their adastracoustic META IEM ($1,300) which, while not to my particular tastes, gave excellent if not exceptional sound.

Lunavel

While dynamic headphones are nothing unusual, the 60mm Silk Biomembrane Dynamic Driver of the Lunavel 6001 Headphone (projected price of $1,300-$1,800) made from Silk Fibroin is something new. Silk tweeters are known for their smooth high-frequency response, though not as common nowadays as they once were, and Lunavel appears to be capitalizing on this, leaning into the strengths of dynamic drivers rather than trying to overcome their limitations.

PLEXSONIC

Plexsonic have taken TWS IEMs to the next level with their Dual BA Plexsonic Strato TWS CIEM (TBA – their website was not up yet as of this writing), offering a full range of custom TWS IEM options featuring silicone bodies for a more comfortable fit.

FAITH AUDIO LABS

Another new-to-me IEM manufacturer was Faith Audio Labs, whose designs were quite elegant and attractive, while a bit pricey for a single dynamic driver IEM at $8,000, the Faith Audio Labs U1000 offered extreme dynamics (sensitivity of 115dB).

EPZ

Last on the docket was EPZ, who had a very decorative line of inexpensive IEMs starting with their EPZ P40 4-Driver Hybrid IEM ($159.99) featuring dynamic, planar magnetic, and Piezoelectric Ceramic drivers up to their flagship EPZ 550 5 BA IEM ($519).
